Lots of firsts and plenty of thanks

Since my last post, we've been busy as always. First, there was Halloween. While Gray had known for quite some time that an astronaut was all he wanted to be for Halloween, Hayes, on the other hand, couldn't quite make up her mind and wore something different to each of the functions we attended. The threat of rain couldn't keep us from trick or treating on Halloween, but Hayes' high heel shoes cut our trip shorter than we'd hoped and by the time we got about two streets from home, Adam was carrying her and Gray had sweat rings around his neck and was pleading to go home. But it still didn't stop them from doing this once we got there.... In other news, we had lots of "firsts"! Gray (as promised) tried pizza and thought he's still not sold on the sauce, he loves cheezy bread, so we're making progress! It's the little things..... Hayes finished her first season of soccer and got her first medal. Lovie and Papa were so proud and came to cheer her on! Gray lost his first tooth after letting it dangle by a thread for weeks. He was so excited when it flew out after biting into a hunk of cheese! We took the kids to their first football game and it was a Millsaps one against Rhodes in Memphis. The kids loved "Major Millsaps" and Hayes was over the moon for the cheerleaders. They even let her get on the field with them! Maybe she'll be the next "Major Impression" dancer in the fam! Gray had his first school field trip and it was to the Harvest Festival at the Botanic Gardens. I loved being able to tag along! And Gray also started karate and got his first belt! He says his creed with so much pride and it's just absolutely precious. My mom came in town and babysat so we could go see Justin Timberlake in concert downtown. We met Mal and Big at Local for dinner before and had a great time "bringing our sexy back"! We went to the Coast for Thanksgiving and the kids harvested citrus from my parents fruit trees visited the new space museum at the Stennis Space Center watched some magic from Harry the Magician and as always, we ate good food and good fun with the fam. With thankful hearts, The Pattersons
