Sunny days are here again

May was a whirlwind month with end-of-the year parties,  Mother's Day, field day events, Gray's never-ending fever virus, and more!

Hayes' first field day (which I had to miss because Gray was sick)

We closed out the school year with Hayes' kindergarten graduation and Gray's 1st Grade awards ceremony (he won 3rd highest AR reader award), then left for Gulfport to celebrate Memorial Day with my parents.

When we came back, we spent a busy week loving our city and all of its fun activities!
Hayes' Daisy troop had an end of the year party at our pool

The first "Groovin' and Grillin" concert of the summer series

Strawberry picking at Jones Orchard
Our first annual Germantown Charity Horse Show (Hayes is with Taco the horse)

We also spent a day at the Discovery Park of America with Lovie!
Trying out our wings

Discovering crystals!

Our church's VBS was the next week and I had a great time preparing all of the decorations for their "Camp Discovery" theme this year.  I love our sweet church and the families that make it so special!

Happy Campers at VBS 2015
After VBS one day, we all headed out to the sprinkler park to cool off....

For the 3rd week of summer, Hayes headed to her last year of Safety City while Gray tried a new art camp. The instructors couldn't believe how much he knew about the statue of liberty and he wowed us all with his artistic abilities. Like mother, like son!

For the last week of June, Hayes attended VBS with some friends at OLPH and Gray and his buds did CBHS all sports camp for the second year. The all-boy antics he learns here each year are both appalling and hilarious, but it is his favorite camp by far! This week, which marked the beginning of July, gave us lots of downtime to play at the pool, visit the park, go on bike rides, and even take in a movie. We celebrated Hayes' 6th birthday with a family dinner featuring her favorites...pizza and cookie cake! I can't believe my sweet, silly, sassy, sensitive girl is actually six and I'm so proud of all she has done and learned this year. She is reading, riding a bike, helping me cook, getting herself ready, and helping out around the house like the big girl that she is becoming.
First time riding a bike without training wheels!

We can't wait to see what's in store this next year for our little firecracker baby!

So excited to celebrate her birthday with her bubba!

Loving her new "puppy surprise"

Make a wish, baby girl!

Letting her Daddy put on her new locket so she can never forget us

Until next time,
